Trees for survival
Brief
Trees for survival is a charitable trust that works with around 200 schools and local communities across Aotearoa New Zealand to grow and plant native trees along waterways and on erosion prone hillsides.
Trees for survival wanted a video that explained why and where the seedlings and plants are needed, from a Mātauranga Māori perspective and a bicultural approach.
Our solution
Our videographers recorded tamariki planting seedlings and walking through Maungatautiri | Sanctuary Mountain with kaumatua, who shared their korero and explained the relevance of the Mātauranga Māori perspective.
